Pete Rock is infamous for his keen ear for classics and infectious loops. He is considered one of the most diverse producers in the game. From the personal narratives of T.R.OY (They Reminisce Over You) alongside CL Smooth, the party anthems of Biggie’s “Juicy” and RUN DMC’s “Down With The King”, the Hip Hop soul of Mary J Blige, to the street classic of Nas’ “The World Is Yours”, Pete sound is laced throughout the soundtrack of our caily lives. Soul Suivivor II is Pete’s 3rd release on BBE following his acclaimed Beat Generation series contribution, Petestrumentals (2001) and Lost and Found series contribution Hip Hop Underground Soul Classics (2003). Soul Suivivor II connects Pete with the best MC’s currently in the game including CL Smooth, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, SkiIlz, Slum Village, RZA & GZA (Wu Tang), Little Brother, Pharoahe Monch and Jay Dee. Since then, Pete has continued to make an impact as he's worked with Redman, Jim Jones, Wu-Tang's Ghostface,  Junior Red, Styles P and Slum Village.
