A versatile artist equipped with an influential voice and an ingenious vision.
Jai Harris has mastered many arts. In 2007 she was a member
internationally recognized spoken word collective, SlamNUBA, they placed
4th in the nation at NPS2007. She has shared the stage with artists such as
Bahamadia, Dead Prez, Raye 6 and Umi of POW. She has also done private
performances for Spike Lee and Danny Glover.  Beyond the world of
performance, Jai is a filmmaker- producer, director, writer, editor, and actor.
In company with her many other accomplishments, Jai recently finished
working on a show for PBS called “Good Grief,” as a key editor and
assistant with the production process. She is also the Featured Poet in
episode 4 which aired Jan 29, 2009. Currently Jai Harris is co-hosting and
doing the poetry for a new series, "Women of Power" with award
winning/Lethal Weapon Hero Danny Glover. Jai has also made several
tracks for recording artist Chingy. Presently attending the University of
Colorado at Denver, studying theater, film and television with an emphasis in
writing/directing and post production, this talented young woman is without
doubt a “JACKie of All Trades.”
