Wielding an astounding burst of unparalleled energy as the former front man
of the sensational band Franklin Bridge, Curt Chambers is a powerhouse of
controlled force and passion. The band’s previous group project, Franklin
Bridge Live at Grape Streetdisplays Curt’s ability to transition from the ferocity
of rock’s rougher edges and into R & B’s liquid smoothness. Curt has graced
the stage with an array of music’s heavy hitters, including P. Diddy, LL Cool J,
and the one and only Mr. B.B. King. His breathtaking talent propelled Franklin
Bridge to a spot in the top 10 finalists on Fox’s hit television show, The Next
Great American Band.
Professional trained as a graduate from William Patterson University’s Jazz
and Performance Studies program, his inspirational creativity having been
honed as the musical director of R&B veteran Eric Robeson. His guitar,
keyboard and vocal credits include working with some of music’s elite bands
and singers such as Jeff Bradshaw’s Bone Deep, Kindred the Family Soul’s
Surrender 2 Love, Jazzyfatnastees ’Tortoise and the Hare, Anthony
Hamilton’s Ain’t Nobody Worryin’, J.R.’s Metamorphosis and Heather
Headley’s In my Mind. Curt has bought his vibrant sound to venues all over
the East Coast, bringing d-o-w-n the house and leaving fans aching for more
at such landmark venues as his native Philadelphia’s Brittingham’s Pub and
World Café, renowned D.C. alternative concert hall Black Cat, and at festivals
including Baltimore’s African American Heritage Festival. A commanding
performer himself, Curt has toured with a mind-blowing assortment of music’s
current geniuses including India Arie, Vivian Green, Jill Scott, Mario, Keisha
Cole and Eric Roberson.
