Derick Cross aka D.Cross(The Living Instrument) is a multi dimensional Hip-
Hop visual & vocal artist who creates imagery and sound that transcends and
crosses boundaries of genres and labels.
As a performance artist he embodies the spirit of Hip Hop combining the art
of poetry, beatboxing and emceeing/rap, making music to ears of listeners
everywhere.
Cross has performed in venues nationally & internationally , including
Madison Square Garden,SOB's, BB Kings,Carolines and Lincoln Center's
Avery Fisher Hall.
 
D-Cross has been featured on MTV,The Electric Company ,Nickelodean ,TV
Land & BET's 106's andPark . He was also selected for taping of HBO's Def
Poetry Jam in March 2003.He was the Hottest Poet Spoken Word Grand
Champion of 2002/03 as well as a member of their international slam team of
2003.DCross was featured in 2006 in the off Broadway production of Rennie
Harris'New York Hip-Hop Legends at the New Victory Theatre.
Visually he works in a variety of media including acrylics , oils,& polymerclay
..D.Cross' work has been shown through out the New york metropolitan area
as well locations nationally (Atlanta)& internationally (Sweden& Brazil ).You

Mr. Cross is also an Arts Educator who has worked with extensively with
youth teaching visual arts, poetry, and hip-hop.
